Thousands of graduates, transfer jobbers and people who are looking for work opportunities were interviewed by employers. There were also students who came to understand the status of industry and job chances so that they can prepare themselves before entering the job markets at a later time.

Student clubs of Wenzao, such as street dance and percussion performance heralded the Ceremony. After speeches were given by the VIPs, they inlaid the huge cards into the time recorders to start the Job Fair.

President Chou appreciated the sponsorship of the Workforce Development Agency and the participation of the 48 enterprises in this event. She said, based on the motto of “Revere the Divine, Love the Human” and the characteristics of the 3Ls, i.e. Life, Language and Leadership, the School has been focusing on the cultivation of talents with foreign language proficiency and international professionals. She encouraged students to analyze the needs of each industry before seeking jobs and to be ready at any time so that employment can be found easily, and related specialties can be well developed.

Director Tseng pointed out that a Job Station of Career Development Center for Youth was established in the Kaohsiung-Pingtung-Penghu-Taitung region. This Station for youth, as the first job provision office, gives youth many chances to talk to career plan counselors and industrial masters face to face. Everyone is welcome to the Station.

Beyond graduates and local people who look for work opportunities, there were also foreigners who came for interviews. Many interviews are conducted in the English language. The student in the Dept. of Japanese, CAO, Feng-ya, appreciated the endeavors of the School; she saw that qualified enterprises were selected. She would love to work as a receptionist or administrator at a hotel; her CVs were given to some enterprises.

The 48 enterprises include Newegg Inc., Din Tai Fung Restaurant, Fargloy Group, YUSCO Stainless Steel Co., Ltd., KYMCO, Hiwin Technologies Corp., Han Hsien International Hotel, Kindness Hotel, Nitori, ICCK and FCF etc. The groupings contain IT, network marketing, planning, sales for foreign countries, on-line instruction advisers, English teaching, administration, trade, etc. Furthermore, Wowprime, Fullon Hotels & Resorts and Ambassador Hotel Kaohsiung are also providing jobs for graduates as their management trainees or shop managers.      While having the Job Fair, an Introduction to Enterprises was also held to help job searchers know more about the companies. A Seminar of Laborers’ Rights and Interests was conducted by school alumnus, GUO, Zheng-peng, attorney, who explained the common legal questions about “How to protect your Rights and Interests as freshmen of society”.
