Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages is consigned by the MOE to establish the Taiwan Education Center, Hanoi, for promoting Chinese and Vietnamese learning; the Center has signed a contract with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, one of the top universities in Vietnam, to open classes for Vietnamese to learn Chinese, as well as to hold tests of TOCFL. The participants of this unveiling ceremony include President Lucia S. Lin and other supervisors of the School.
The Center is situated in Room 314 of A Building of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in downtown Hanoi. The two schools have been sister schools since 2006. This May, a new contract was signed to strengthen the mutual collaborative relationships. In the meeting, many common views were achieved; in the future, both schools will intensify the teaching cooperation and promotion of Chinese and Vietnamese learning. Transnational academic seminars will be held often.
By taking the opportunity for the unveiling ceremony, the School also visited the Ministry of Education and Training, the sister school and two senior high schools. It is hoped that the Center, under the management of the Office of international & Cross-strait Cooperation could play a significant role for academic exchange between the two countries.
