In order to draw more outstanding overseas students to study at Wenzao and pave the way for international cooperation, President Lucia Lin led the Executive Vice-President, Dr. Ching-Hwa Tsai, the Vice-President for Student Affairs, Dr. Ching-Jun Cheng, the Dean of the Office of International and Cross-strait Cooperation, Dr. Kit Lam and two staff members to Malaysia from July 5th to 11th, 2014 to participate in the 2014 Malaysia Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition. The delegation also visited two prestigious high schools to increase more academic exchanges between Taiwan and Malaysia.
During the exhibition period, the delegation rolled up their sleeves to introduce Wenzao and answered questions for students at the booth of 2014 Malaysia Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur and Penang respectively. Besides, Wenzao delegation was invited by two partner schools in Kuala Lumpur, In-House Multimedia Academy and New Era College. The faculty members and students of both partner schools showed great hospitality to Wenzao delegation. The delegation also headed to Kuen Cheng High School and Jit Sin Independent High School for seeking possible opportunities of future cooperation.
The delegation also visited Chin Well Fasteners Co., a well-known company in Malaysia meeting three Wenzao alumni who were under the training of manufacturing process there. The alumni graduated from the Department of International Business Administration in 2013.
The 2014 Malaysia Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition was organized by The Federation of Alumni Association of Taiwan Universities, Malaysia (FEETUM). The exhibition of this year had more than 300 exhibiting members from over 100 Taiwanese universities and colleges participating, which by far was on the largest scale over the passing eight years.
