【News release: Public Relations Office

 


     The Adult Ceremony was held on May 6, 2015 by the Ursuline Education Center for the fourth grade students of the 5-year Junior College. The atmosphere of blessing and anticipation filled the Auditorium; the Ceremony was hosted by Father Fei Gerder; President Chou, teachers and parents, who all witnessed this event; 300 students became adults after the blessing.   


 


     Father Fei Gerder stressed the philosophy of Faith, Hope and Love; he encourages students to have these virtues which is believing in achieving the goals of life with hope; even when there are difficulties and frustrations. He said that the faith of “a man of great talents will surely be given important tasks” will help you overcome all of the obstacles. We should love each other and appreciate being loved. With this goodness we can face challenges bravely. 


 


     The teacher in the Dept. of French: Francois de Sulauze was the representative of all Wenzao teachers. He wished all students well-being, happiness and always keeping a youthful mind. After the blessing, students passed under the flourishing arch and took the candles from their tutors; it is anticipated that they can light up themselves and other people. 


 


       Films of class activities and words from parents were broadcasted, and touching moments enjoyed. The student in the Dept. of Spanish, HU, Shue-ling, shared her feelings and determination to be more responsible. The student in the Dept. of French, JEN, Jun-yu, hoped that she can be a good example for lower grade students and continue the culture and spirit of Wenzao.  


 


     The mother of a student from the Dept. of English said that this ceremony is extremely meaningful; she saw the growth of her child in all directions, either in academic performance or personality; she felt the enthusiastic intention of the School.  


 


     Within the week of the Adult Ceremony, a Wall of Congratulations was created on the red-brick pavement. Envelopes for students were prepared so that students of higher or lower grades can place cards or presents for them. After the blessing, the sound of fireworks can be heard and ribbons seen all over the campus in celebration.
