The international volunteers of Wenzao sent their love to social welfare organizations and orphan centers in Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia this summer. A flag presentation ceremony was held before their departure to offer inspiration.
By conveying the school motto of “Revere the Divine, Love the Human”, students are encouraged to help the minorities; with their foreign language capabilities, the Wenzao International Service Learning Association has been visiting the Northern regions of Thailand for at least nine years. This summer, they extended their service sites to Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, Philippines, Pondok Damai and Panti Asuhan Vincentius Putri, Indonesia and Ursuline House, Cambodia.
Some of the volunteers were just graduated from school this June; nine of them are students from Dept. of Applied Chinese, Dept. of Foreign Language Instruction and Dept. of English, respectively. Their responsibilities include admin and correspondence management, Chinese and English teaching etc.
